Anyone have a cooling system diagram? I replaced the dccv and it was fine for a few days but now leaks worse. I just cant see where it is. Its not the s/c hose. Just need a visual. Thanks.

hello Gus im searching for the entire cooling system outline for my 2001 jaguar s type 4.0 v8. i saw the ones i believe you sent to (99snake) of the 2004 model. anyway flushed my heater core and removed and checked my heater control valve and what i believe may be my auxilary coolant flow pump thats directly above the heater control valve. well my problem is need to reconnect all the hoses and for got exactly where ech on go to and come from. CRAZY of me, well some i remember but it need a visual diagram to connect correctly otherwise i have a serious problem. Gus is their anything you can do to help me im desperite

I have a 2000 4.0 and just changed thermostat and flushed coolant. Now have no heat. There is an aluminum cylinder beside the ABS, attached to the fan shroud that I am led to bleieve is a water pump. There is a black plasic cap on it covering what looks like an air valve. Should I bleed this or am I off track entirely. Everything worked perfect until coolant flush.

 

The bit I was looking at appears to be the receiver dryer. Now what?

 

You need to bleed the entire coolant system - search JTIS or the forum for exact procedure. Here it is in laymen's terms.

* Remove cap on top of thermostat assembly and fill up w/ proper spec coolant. Tighten cap to 9Nm

* Add coolant to expansion tank - close cap.

* Start engine - heater onto high and run engine between 1500 - 2000 RPM for 3 - 5 mins.

* Turn off and let car cool down.

* Top off coolant in expansion tank

* Loosen air bleed (Hose by brake master cylinder) w/ flat blade screwdriver - be careful - part is prone to breaking. Let air escape, close screw.

* Start car - let idle - re-open air bleed until coolant begins to drip out - close screw. (Don't over tighten)

* Monitor coolant level for a week or so and top off as needed.

 

If you are doing any repairs yourself please follow JagV8's advice. There is so much in the factory manual. Including all the cooling diagrams. Really worth it for free!!
