2001 Jaguar S-Type 4.0 Trans Problem
Hey guys im a new jag driver and ive had some problems recently. After about 5 minutes of normal driving my engine will start throwing very high RPM's for the speed im going. One minute i will be around 1500 at 60 MPH, next thing i know its at 35-4000. Before this happens my trans shifts and runs perfectly. No grinding or anything like that. Could it be a sensor, fuse, computer problem?? Thank you guys so much.
It has about 113,000 miles and we went to get the codes pulled and they couldnt get a reading but the engine light is on. And no it doesnt go into restricted. Not sure whats going on with it.

Best to let a indy trans shop diagnose...
Thanks for the quick replies guys. So whats my next step? I was thinking of taking it to a Mr.Transmission in a town close to me it says they'll do a transmission diagnostic for free.
A lot of people have driven a "something" to 200K even though others have had problems. One good car means zero. A few bad ones... also zero.
