so sometimes my trunk doesnt want to open and i feel like its ever since i put my subs in but it could be coincidence, any ideas?

 

valet switch in glove box bumped?

 

It has been some time since i have been back there,but I know I had to adjust a stepped spring assist on one of my cars. Sub installation could easily knock it off.Will check in daylight.

 

okay so i think it always unlatches but i have to pull up really hard on it to actually open.. im not even really sure because i havent messed with it much

 

lube the latch, and clean then spray the seal with a dry silicone to condition.
To adjust the springs pull back the trunk side panels to expose the springs. You need strength and a tool to hook into the loop on the back end of the spring and loosen it and move to the back hole if not already there. This increases spring tension on the lid. Dont let go out the spring without the lid being supported, it WILL come down on your head
