I have successfully converted every bulb in my S Type to LED (including the vanity mirror bulbs) which I HIGHLY recommend. It’s a night a day difference, with the brighter output and crisp on/off.

…….Except, the brake lights. When I say brake lights I’m talking about the stop lamp, bulb 7225. I’ve ordered from several different manufacturers including LasFit. (LasFit bulbs are amazing for everything else by the way)

When I install one LED bulb (on either side, leaving the opposite halogen), no problem. If I install both, I get the dash error and they output at brake light brightness consistently. (Remember these are dual purpose bulbs, tail light and a brighter brake light)

I’ve tried CanBus, non-canbus. Most of the bulbs I’ve tried do not have the studs in the perfect place for installation; but even with a small modification, same situation. Someone a while ago mentioned they did their brake lights with LasFit and didn’t have an issue. Perhaps I haven’t found the right model?

SuperBrightLeds flat out says “not available” for this bulb. Search around Amazon and you’ll see several for sale; most of which aren’t perfect fits and require you to creatively install them.
