Mine would downshift into first very late and hard and after 1 1/2 years of nothings wrong another dealer finally replaced the torque converter and no more problems!!

I emailed you the info. Perform the drive cycle yourself. If you have to stop before end. Start over. Once you get the shifts at the correct RPM, make sure you do not move your foot from the throttle. Keep it steady.

Worst case, go to the dealer and insist that they call hotline to get coded transmission reflash.

I'm going to bet that you can do all the reprogramming and resetting and drive cycle calibrating that you want but nothing will fix this drastic issue but a new torque converter. I had reprogramming and software updates done and hard reset and drive cycle reset and it allways came back doing the same thing. My car would also shift into 1st gear after I was stopped and after the converter was changed it was gone right away. No re learning needed it just was fixed. Even the dealer commented on what a dramatic difference there was and also said that it usually takes some driving to get everything sorted out but that mine was good right from the start. I would push for the new converter.
I say this because this was the one issue that I could not get resolved ever since I got the car and was a huge anxiety for me. I thought it was never going to go away but as I said, It's gone!!
