Pretty sure they're Denso. The jag part # likely is in that part PDF I've referred to numerous times. If you want Denso's #, maybe one of the forum sponsors will have it or try contacting Denso.

It's a linear aka wide-band aka AFR type. Not the same as the rear type or the type on the original S-Type. I wouldn't fit a near replacement, only the exact type. (It MAY be Denso part 234-9030 but I'd want some confirmation. From http://www.densoaftermarket.com/cata....php?part=o2sn)

You're unlucky if one's failed (they do, but not often). How many miles on the car?

Your average auto parts store can order in a day a replacement O2 sensor.

Would it be a close (similar) replacement or 100% identical?

For an STR, would similar be good enough?

How do you know that they provide the exact signals needed by the PCM? Er... do you know?

It's the upstream that matter a LOT. The downstream are far less important.

JagV8, not sure if replacement is similar or direct replacement. Do know they have same connector, etc. and cost $90+/each.

Napa ensures 100% OE equivilant parts, we do alot of testing, I cant speak of the other auto parts companys.

Napa spends ALOT of money on research to make sure that we have the right parts for the right applications.

Parts companies I've met do no or hardly any testing and do not know how to test most parts (other than "obviously broken" or "not obviously broken"). Nice (and surprising) to hear Napa are different.

I wouldn't fit a non-OE critical part such as an upstream O2 sensor unless 100% sure it was identical, but hey that's just me. The connector would not be a test for being suitable!

I'm in agreement...correct connector doesn't imply it "fits". Spend a few bucks more for OEM. I haven't changed the O2 sensors...yet. Thought one was dead due to code but apparently resolved on its own? Likely change the upstreams in a few weeks.

I've seen it first hand since I've been lucky to tour the facilities. We do real world testing on parts and compare white papers to ensure manafacture specs. are met.

Im running all 4 o2 bosch sensors from my local NAPA.

We are still in business because we make alternatives to OE parts, part of it is because we work with them to ensure quality, not a plug fits.. holes line up ok its the part solution.

NAPA does own a few Major part manafactures that work off car manafacture specifications to make parts, for after market.

Look us up and the history

See: http://www.densoaftermarket.com/cata....php?part=o2sn
Denso claims to be the OEM oxygen sensor mfgr for Jaguar
Front (air/fuel sensor) 234-9030
Rear (oxygen sensor) 234-4735

Amazon.com $87.62 each cheapest price I've found
