I've never seen this harness...how many wires does harness have to solenoid? If your certain wether power is not going to solenoid then it's obvious there's no power eminating after fuse. Check the power source again, if possible at the fuse.

At this stage an autoelectrician may be fastest and quite cheap.

I'll have to check again in the morning. The J cradle is on a 5 amp fuse and I've checked it repeatedly. In fact I've checked every fuse and relay in the car. There is no power going at all to the shifter. The "P" doesn't light up, neither does the Sport mode button.

You are doing fine just keep following the trail. You have found your problem. The interlock solenoid is not getting power. Now back track to the brake switch and check that.

Do you have the electrical diagrams? They are free and on this site. You have little to no chance of fixing this with out them. Things are just too complex. You will waste a huge amount of time waiting for someone to post what you need.

I'm too tired to read earlier posts, so...Gatorbaiter (LOL!, I don't know man...I can make fun of your name dude), check if power to solenoid, if yes then solenoid is toast.

Well, best possible outcome. Went out this morning, started car and the lights came on the J gate cover. Shifted into R, N and D without a hitch. I guess it takes 72 hours for 32 oz of Diet Coke to evaporate completely.

Thanks to everyone for the assistance.

Glad to hear you're finally up and running again....

I had the feeling that after doing so much coke she'd just needed some drying out....
