Sold the '01 S type Sport. Picked up a '05 STR w/84k on it, good shape, hauls booty! But, I can't get the center console compartment door to open. Friday, I had my phone sitting on the console by the shifter and as I excellerated, it slid into the compartment while I wasn't looking. Took me all day saturday to figure out where the phone was, got it out, but I need to get that compartment door functioning. There's a small open space where the phone was able to slide in. The latch works -- It will slide forward to cover the cup-holder, but it won't open. Any Ideas?

Someone posted a fix but sorry can't recall it - try Search. Leave out "door" as I've never seen it called that.

not getting a good understanding how to get it open. I guess the upholder needs to be removed? And then ?? I guess the tabs can be reached once the upholder is out the way. Brain dead today. Help the gimp do a fix..

Didn't know most of these have no lower mesh. Does look good, I agree!

I now have an understanding how to release the armrest cover. I'll get to that at some point.
