Have a real problem with car not starting after sitting outside during heavy rain. It won't even "click" when turning key. Battery is OK, all lights, radio, etc work. Anyone out there have solution or run into same problem.
Also, my tach needle quit working about 6 mos ago--any ideas? But my major problem is the car won't start.
Thanks much.

Water in the trunk? (Look under spare.)

Pray it's not got water under the hood in the spark plug wells or even worse running into the PCM (aka ECM) - unusual but has been known.

Ditto to jagv8...snoop around for water intrusion. Also chck harness to throttle body. Water lies to stream from windshield down through cowl ontop of throttle body.

Many thanks, believe you hit nail on head as this happened yesterday [Sat.] and this morning after sitting in sun and dry garage, it started right up. Don't figure, except am sure water leaked in thru cowl.Originally, i thought it might have shorted out the starter, as nothing happened when turning key [like a dead battery would act]. If throttle body got wet, it seems engine would tun over , but not start, correct?
Thanks and look forward to your further assistance.
