Hello all. I'm a new forum member who recently acquired his first Jaguar--a 2005 S-type VDP. We don't have 91 octane gas here in Illinois; premium is 93. One of my colleagues told me you can mix 89 and 93 octane gas. Has anyone tried this? Is it a good idea?

Yes you can mix them and will get 91 if you get the ratio right and think it's worth the savings. Stations that sell 89, 91 and 93 mix 89 and 93 inside the pump to get 91.
