Default AC won't come on - help!

hey fellow jag owners. Nice to be here where like-minded people meet and share thoughts about their experiences. Hope I could find some answers for my problem on the climate control system on my 2005 Jaguar S-Type 2.5. My problem is my AC does not power up when I press the switch , nothing happens and display wont come on. I checked the F14 (10A) fuse and it' s fine. I have tried to disconnect the battery terminal and reconnect it to reset the computer but it's still the same condition. Does anyone here have a clue with what could be wrong with it?

Welcome to the forum SilverJagStype05,

I've copied this question from your Intro to S-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

There are multiple possibilities. The system may be low on or out of refrigerant. Your compressor may have failed. You could have a condensor issue. If you're not familiar with HVAC systems, your best bet is to find a trustworthy indie shop for an appropriate diagnosis....

Do you mean that the AC itself doesn't come on or the whole climate control screen is dead?

The whole climate control screen is dead. Any advise that would fit my problem will be appreciated.

Try this for the wiring guide, look in the general tech section for the complete JTIS download.

My A/C problem on my Jaguar V6 Stype 05 is finally fixed. My ACCM was totally dead. I got a used ACCM from a local shop and replaced it myself. To ensure I will not spoil the module I double checked the heater vave condition by measuring the current draw from the solenoid. The draw was 0.7 amps on both pins 1 & 3 on the valve plug connector to ground. Good thing this was ok and no replacement of heater valve required in this case. It wasn't really that difficult to replace the accm as long as you have the guide. Thanks to the suggestions from fellow enthusiast here and the links shared to me in this forum that truly helped solved my problem. Now I am enjoying cold AC again in Oman. Many thanks to you guys who replied to my posting.

Cheers
