Default Aftermarket reversing sensors s-type 2003

Hello, can anyone help, Aftermarket Reversing Sensors, I've fitted numerous sets of these over the years without any issues at all, 2003 S-Type, OH, I have them fitted any they are working, well sort of! They are LIVE all the time, the feed wire to the main unit, The red wire is coupled to the black and green wire that goes the the reversing lamp bulb and the black wire I have taken directly to a nearby bolt that grounds to the chassis. Should I be taking this 'earth' wire to one in the 'loom', I am stuck, can anyone out the suggest or know a solution to my quandry, please do not suggest OEM parts!

You need to run a relay as the tail lights are earth / - swiched via the RECM.
The tail light frame is positive /+ .

Thanks for your reply but could you be a little more specific please, I understand what you're saying I only have the two wires to put in, can you possibly suggest where to take the feed to the relay from, the black and green wire that goes to the bulb? I know I will need a 12V supply to the relay. Thank you so much if there's any info' you could provide

as in post #2,
i was trying to inform you the light frame is positive +.
so the wire that goes to the track to the center of the bulb is negative -.
obviously different to the other cars you have fitted this kit to ,
so you can only trigger a relay with the reverse light wire , to send an alternate power supply to your kit via the relay .
there is a spare plug on all s types with an aux ignition switched 12v power and ground
. it is clipped to the back of the RECM mounting panel .

have a look here

Just to make it clear.

On jaguar cars there is no switched + 12v live feed to the reversing lights.

The + 12v (positive) to the reverse lights is on all the time the ignition is on.

It is the earth (negative) to the reverse light that is switched on and off. Not the +12v positive.
