air bag light code 23

Default air bag light code 23

I have code 23 flashing on my dash board air bag light the car is 03 STR.
Any ideas on what I need to do to fix this problem or what would the cure for this be. thanks

Hi Rich,
Hopefully the attached should help narrow it down for you. Check the connector under the seat first. The final one will be at the charge itself in the back of seat.

As was posted yours is for the passenger seat. This is a bit unusual because the driver’s seat normally throws this code.

The driver’s seat is in constant motion from the easy exit feature while the passenger seat is only moved when you push the seat buttons.

Let us know if you have any wires pulled out of the connector under the seat. That's what usually happens on the driver’s side. It's a yellow wire on the driver’s side but I don't know what color it is on the passenger side.

What if your pass side seat airbag went off and that's why you are getting the code.. How can you fix it? 00 stype 3.0

The code is not for a used bag but for an open circuit. To fix it you need to reconnect it. A used one would need replacement.

IN yet another threadsurrection, my tech said when the bag lights are on, they will not blow in an accident. Sound odd to me especially since my bag light is on...
