Airbag light on solid, blown fuse
Hi People.
My lovely 2007 s-type 2.7TD has just failed its mot with the dashboard airbag warning light on solid. No flashing. I have found that fuse F5 in the passenger compartment fusebox is blown so I replaced it. It blew again immediately. I have found the following info on F5
"2002-2008: Restraint control module, airbag occupant sensor, passenger airbag de-activation lamp"
Please can anybody help me with wiring diagrams for my car or any other info on how to fault find this?
Thanks
Dave

New information. I have now found a wiring diagram on http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Auto...cal-2006on.pdf and a workshop manual on the same site so I have a start. It looks like F5 supplies the restraint control module (RCM) in the centre console and the Occupancy Sensor Control Module under the passenger seat. I am going to try and disconnect one of them and see if the fuse still blows.

I have found the problem. In my case a capacitor had blown (exploded)
short circuit inside the 'passenger seat weight sensing module', 4R83-14B422-AD, located under the passenger seat. It was shorting out the power supply and blowing the fuse. After i disconnected the unit the fuse no longer blew and I started to get proper flash codes on the instrument panel airbag warning light. One flash then six flashes. I have ordered a replacement unit and will update post once fitted.
