Default Anyone know where I can source a Transmission Valve Body

Hi guys, its been awhile since I came on here. I never sold my STR, I decided to keep it and drive it during the summer when I'm in Florida. But recently I have been having issues with the Transmission. It wouldn't go into Drive or any gears. So to cut it short. I had the transmission shop take a look at it and they said my Transmission Valve body need to be replaced or rebuilt. ( I don't have the codes on hand)

Does anyone know if there's a interchange part# for the valve body with the Lincoln LS? or anyone knows a place that rebuilds theses valve bodies? Any help would be much appreciated. I searched around google and found a place down in Tampa called Valve body Rebuilders, but they way they were talking about what other things can go wrong as well like the face plate which is 1k grand and just fixing the valve body alone is $600, its not cheap I know, but I want to get a general idea of the pricing for rebuilds so I won't be cheated out,

Thanks in advance!

Before you do anything else, make certain the two shift cable bolts on the ZF 6HP26 are both in place and tight. You'll need to get underneath the car with an 8mm box wrench....

You are out of luck with the Lincoln LS here. That car only used the Ford 5 speed it's entire life.

Not saying your shop is wrong but you are the first person to replace the valve body on the ZF that I have heard of.

For parts and help have you contacted CTSC?

The CTSC - ZF Parts

And you are right the valve body is expensive and looks to be in the $1500 range!!!

Not sure you found what you are looking for but this is the company I use for ZF parts and help. They were most helpful with me.

I got the transmission rebuilt, even the torque converter is rebuilt. After testing thru, its the Valve body thats the issue. Im still waiting for the mechanic to send me the codes so I can post them here. I find it highly unusual also the Valve body has gone bad on this transmission. It has only like 100k miles on it. Its not like I took it out on a track or abused the crap out of it I pampered the whole car from head to toe so to speak. All fluids been changed not too long ago, 2years ago to be exact including tranny fluid and filter, sleeve etc...LOlz.. I even helped source out the ZF dealer for fluid etc... at "CTSC".

Dunno what the hell happened to this tranny
