Automatic Door Locking continues, and I hear continuously after moving.
Only way to stop continuous locking/unlocking...with no actual locking/unlocking, (I HEAR sounds) ONLY method to STOP sounds is manually lock drivers door, with all other door manually pre-loccked.

 

Mystery car will likely NOT get many answers but ore or more of your door locks is NOT in agreement with the rest of the doors.

 

Do an advanced search under the S Type subdirectory, "lock actuator". There are several to help you understand and repair your problem.

 

whats the difference between the lock button in the console by the selector, and the lock buttons on the doors ? thank you

 

well you cant lock the doors being inside the car using the door handle right???? unless you roll your window down and then press the button on the door handle but that would be a ridiculous method right???? so id assume jaguar was smart enough to add a Door locking mechanism like every other car has in the interior, rather than having grown man rolling their 80k cars window down just to lock it lolol . I believe the button on the handle is meant for you to unlock/lock your car as your approaching or leaving it and the interior locking mechanism by the screen infotainment center is meant for you to lock the door as your sitting in the car although you can set your car in the infotainment center to lock on its own as you approach 3-5mph and it'll lock on its own.
