Default Bit By the Limp Mode! - FIXED

At the car wash!! Yep, took the "R" to Miami last week. Hit lot's of rain on the way so around Ft. Pierce, I stopped at an automated car wash to clean her up a bit. As soon as I exited the bay, all the bells and whistles went off! DSC, Emergency Brake ect... After trying all the tricks I learned here and I mean all, I had to limp to the nearest Jag dealer 6 miles away. Took an hour to get there and they weren't able to reset anything either! The dealer was pretty good believe it or not, they provided a rental and we went on to Miami with me thinking about the BIG $$$$$ bill! (no warranty) The next morning the dealer called and made my day! After sitting ova night, everything reset and the R was running like a cat! The moral of the story, make sure you clean all the debris from the area near the micro filter! It was full of leaves and when it filled with water, it leaked into the main computer causing the issue. They cleaned it out, installed a new filter and resealed the unit for a little over $200! Big shouts to Ft. Pierce Jag!

That was my guess when I read car wash + str + limp mode.

Good to hear that the dealer fixed you up quickly.

Wow, I'd say you got a real deal. I paid a hundred bucks labor just to get a scan. Then another hundred to get a key programed.

I guess it's true that cats don't like water. Try giving one a bath sometime.
