Default A/C stopped working

Great timing 107 in so cal. heat wave and a/c just quits. First time to the dealer since i have owned it, so time for service too. ballpark estimate on a/c 2 g's (have 4 years left on a warr.) good thing. So what else while at dealership ? car has 42,000 miles on it and I think the rear struts might be bad cause of some slight knocking in rear. Also the typical lurching which has been getting worse and have read some threads on it as far as re mapping.
Anything else for a 06-STR that I should have checked out really want an exaust and H&R springs

You'd think the tranny issues would be warranty work. Are they not?

Do brakes yourself - Vance580 has a DIY Youtube video and there is a ton of info on here how to do it. Very easy job.

Tires - i do Tire Rack or Discount Tire Direct these days. No need to pay the dealer markup.

If your struts are shot that seems like it is a premature failure. I'd check your bushings and such. Can you describe the knocking a bit more?

$400 for reflash - no way! More like $150. Granted they need to do both PCM & TCM then drive it with 2 people, hooked up to IDS, but $400 is too much.

My dealer reflashed the TCM in my X-type for free as a courtesy when it was in for something else, this was while it was under 3rd party warranty. If they value your business and satisfaction, they should at the very least cut you a steep discount. It can't take 3-4 hours of shop time to do that flash....

There's one in Upland, but he might be a tad too far away for you.
