The Alpine boot CD changer constantly tries to eject the magazine, even when the mag is not fitted and the ignition key is removed

Rather than fork out for a replacement changer I'm considering fitting a standard radio CD - how would I go about this, is there some kind of blanking kit available to fill the gap when the standard radio is removed ?.
I have a wiring harness adapter
