So is there a scale for cheap cold beers per hours relative to book labor hours?

Isn't it 3 (good) beers per hour, or 6 crappy beers.

I like where this is going...and propose that anybody who uses the S-Type forum on at least a semi-regular basis should refer to amounts of time in terms of beer (at a conversion rate of 3 beers/1 hour).

Random example: "My transmission was messing up blahblahblahblah, but it only took me 6 beers to fix it after I checked the thingy".

Alternate example that might not work as well,: "That drive from Houston to Killeen only took me 9 beers, instead of the usual 12"

So changing the brakes on an STR is a 3 bud light or 6 stone job. For those in Oklahoma it's 4 budlights or 7 stones

I had always tossed in the "few" beers rule, when I first joined, but then was corrected to save the beers until after the job was accomplished. Hee hee I still drink beers whilest working on my vehicles, I just don't tell you guys!

I don't drink and service cars. Afterwards and on the check-out drive hell yes! Especially if the repairs went badly ...

Since this thread was derived from another thread about engine wear and oil and viscosity blah, blah, blah.
I started thinking about my kind of high mileage ticker and how beer helps me on those days when my engine aint up to par.
Guiness with its thick viscosity helps with my blow by problem and it ALWAYS goes down nice no matter how I treat it, full bodied and rich, good head is an understatement.
On days when I feel fine and the ticker is performing as it should,I turn to Stella from Belgium. Lovely thin body and bubbly, wonderful head. I can do Stella many times due to being quite light and easy to manage.
Remeber. Beer doesn't complain if you take two or three to bed with you.
Beer never complains if you come home late with beer on your breath.

Now don't go callin those fine beers cheap. I know they are a little more, but what they do is worth it.
Besides, we own Jags, money is not suppossed to be an issue, right???
