Default Correct Inner Tie rod ends??

Found these on eBay. I have a 2001 S-Type 4.0. Alignment shop says I need the passenger side inner tie rod (already replaced both outers), Shop says I must order the entire steering Rack (which includes the two inner tie rod ends), but others on this forum have suggested I can replace the inner tie rod ends only (screwing them into the rack).
I could only find just the inner tie rod ends on eBay. Here is a picture of the item. As the boot is still on my vehicle, I can not visually check to see if they are the correct ones, even tho the eBay site says they do fit and 01 S-Type.
Can anyone verify these are correct?

Look at Lincoln LS outer tie rods on RockAuto Parts Catalog - You can also order ones that cover the S Type - but shipping is pricey.

With the age of your car and the fact you can use the Lincoln LS rack. I would get a rack off EBay. They are not that expensive.

About $150 for a re-manufactured unit with a lifetime warranty. Be sure and check the local parts places as they might be able to beat that. Plus it comes with the inner tie rod ends too.

I see. I found the inner tie rod (LOOKS LIKE both sides are the same-left and right) for only $17, but shipping is another $32....but still, not bad price altogether...but, shipping from England to the States. It'll be over a week to get here.

Thanks...I found THIS
2000 2003 Lincoln LS Complete Power Steering Rack and Pinion Assembly USA Made | eBay

for a 2000-2003 Lincoln LS. You say this is the same item as for a 2001 Jaguar s-type 4.0?

Yes but the listing is wrong because the rack was changed for the 2003 and up model years. You want a Lincoln LS 2000-2002 rack. Oops! They did get it right because the rack was changed at the end of the 2002 model year.

So yes that is the correct rack for your S Type.

We have the factory service manual for free on this site??

It's called the JTIS (Jaguar Technical Information Service) it will have everything about your car in it.

Look at the sticky threads at the top of the forum and look for JTIS.
