2001 Jaguar S-Type 4L 53k miles. I've had problems with the PATS for 2 years where it will not start and will cut the engine off when driving. The fuel pump is disables. The security light blinks the 16 code when this happens. I am done with trying to find the problem and want to defeat/uninstall/bypass this system.
Has anyone on the Form has any success in getting rid of system?

PCM verify does not match key status.

Try one of your other keys?

 

Both keys have the same problem. I think it is either the SCP or a faulty antenna ring, and I am tired of trying to find the root cause. Everything will work good for a month and then the PATS will act up.

 

Only way to get rid of it is to get rid of the car.

Otherwise, fix it.

 

pats light is blinking because the scp link is down it doesn’t shut down the car. you need to use your brain cells and see what’s a no-comm when it fails
