Hey guys . I have learned much on Jaguar xk8 so this is what may be problem. Had no heat then replace heater control valve, which may or may not have been bad. Still no heat. Then mechanic said it might be auxillary pump, which is also expensive. It was the problem. Mechanic wanted to put on new one but I told him to take it off I took it to my electrical shop (40 years rebuilds on alternators and stuff that has motors) Had Auxiliary pump rebuilt for $50 and mechanic put it back on and now I have heat So please if you have auxillary pump. Try that . He ruled on CCV

BugDog...going to back flush my 2003 S 4.2...just to clarify...I am sending water from my garden house through the line at the connection to the radiator overflow and then disconnecting the bottom line closest to the ground to release water and debris. The bottom line is warm while the other two lines are hot...my driver side heat is luke warm and takes 15-20 minutes to produce heat. passenger heats works well. thaskn john

I hesitated bring up the heater aux pump in the search for this problem because the 3.0 does not have the pump but the V8 does. Rebuilding the pump is a little time consuming but can be done. I took my pump apart on my 95 xj6 and it was a matter of just cleaning the pump action. This a link to the pump XJ6 Heater Pump Repair Now I have been told that replacing the brushes on the armature is not difficult. Brushes can be purchased at your local RadioShack but not an exact fit you will need to shave or sand down to fit.

I found it to be the problem in my 95 xj6 when i had it. Turn the heat on and see if the pump is working by putting your hand on it.

I do have same problem as well. How did you guys repair it? Was it simple "Evaporator Discharge Temperature sensors" failures?

I do have A/C and Heat on Lo and HI, just it doesn't seem to blow right temperature air (usually colder air).

Default same problem no heat

That is the two marked with the yellow arrows. The lower hose was VERY hot. About the same temp as they all were when the electrical connector was disconnected.

So, I am pretty convenced that the DCCV is working correctly. Do you agree?

I crawled under the dash on the passenger side and I located the blower fan. I cannot seem to find the mixer flap/door control.

Any help on that? I searched for pics but only came up with three threads. This one and two others. Please give me some tips! Thanks.
I have the same problem, no heat. When I let the car warm up to operating temp. all three pipes that you had pictured remain cool when the heater is set to high. I also noticed that the hose under the thermostat remained cool. Would you think my problem is a faulty thermostat? Any help would be appreciated.

I suggest you stop posting the same question all over the forum. It's the sort of thing that just occasionally gets a member banned.

BugDoc,
Did you ever figure this out and find the issue? I have a 2003 S-Type and suspect the blender door actuator is faulty. Interested if you ever found it.
