Default Does disconnecting battery reset transmission module

just had my transmission fluid flushed / service at an independent jag service shop. trans is shifting like butter now....still have a slight metal grind as if searching for a gear under low load at 45-55mph???? (rear diff, bearing???)but overall the shifts are much smoother, no more lurch and much better driveability, for anyone debating on a trans fluid service, mechanic said "just bite the bullet" and get it done, im at 66000 miles and he said my fluid level was low and fluid was dirty.....the question however is...will disconnecting and reconnecting my battery act the same as a flash from the dealer???
