Default driver seat/steering pre-programmed setup

Hi,

Coming back from the shop, the driver's seat and steering wheel seem to have lost their settings.
  • turning the ignition off and taking out the key does not pull the seat back or raise the steering
  • with the key off; I can raise the steering using the control and pull the seat back with the seat control
  • putting in the key does not adjust the seat or steering to any of the memory settings
  • Using the 1 or 2 buttons will set the config to saved setting
How do I reset the config as normal? I can bring it back to the shop, but I would like to know if there is a way to recalibrate or reconfigure it. Thanks

Typically, if the battery has been disconnected for any period of time, settings such as seat/steering wheel, etc., will be lost. I cannot speak for the early version, but on my 2003, you place the seat, steering wheel, etc., in the desired position and with the ignition turned on, press "memory + 1 or 2"; the instrument cluster info screen will then confirm that the positions were saved.

This should be in your owner's manual.

Jaguar addressed many issues with TSBs.

You should probably find and read all related to your car.
Lots of questions answered and features you may not know exist?

Memory + 1 or 2 works. It saves it and returns to the setting when I push any of them. The one I would like to fix is when I take the key out, the seat no longer pulls back and the steering wheel do not raise.
