I have got codes DTC C1989 & C1409 all to do with the parking brake I have recently had work done on the car namely a new water pump and the ECU was removed for checking as I was getting misfire's on 2 of my cylinders turned out the wire from the ECU to the ignition coil on cylinder 2 was faulty. Any ideas why I am getting these codes.

 

C1989 is apply & release circuits shorted together. Can't find your other one.

 

C1409 States Parking Brake apply switch circuit out of range. What does that mean?
