You might want to give these guys a look if you don't trust ebay. Run about $50 per.

There are some cheaper ones on eBay that work just fine. I would suggest doing a search for Ford Thunderbird 2000 and above coils as well. They are normally cheaper and exactly the same coils. I bought several sets off eBay for $17.00 a piece.

The coils are actually very easy to change with the proper tools. You could change all of them in an hour. Yes I have the same model Jag as you..even the same color. lol. The Ford Thunderbird coils work just fine. If you check the parts number..the coils are exactly the same. some retailers like to increase the price on Jag parts..only because of the name.

Those coils are pretty generic and that style is used on many Ford vehicles. I don't think those coils in the e-bay listing will fit the 4.2 though even though the listing says they will. I even stuck a couple of s-type coils in my '02 f-150 when they went bad, just swapped the bent boots from the original truck coils to the s-type coils.

Cool

Manufacturer Part Number: DG515 or C1234
If you search for Lincoln or Ford you'll see these numbers used.Sorry for the late reply.
A metric socket set and Di-electric grease will get the job done.
ABCmart has wised up! lol They did have the Ford and Lincoln coils priced much less than the Jag coils. Looks like they changed them all to the same price.
