Hey guys, couple days ago my check engine light came on. It was flashing in increments of two, then went away. Never came back on. Should I worry or investigate?

 

mine too, but now its on full time, and my car is running rough. any idea's.

 

I think its time to buy an OBD II scanner from ebay

 

tried to respond but server keeps resetting. Good chance it's a coil.

 

thats what keeps happening to me everytime its more than a line or two, coils I think it is, the past owner said he replaced 3, but I can't really tell which ones. Any way to test them with a multimeter or anything

 

What do ya think about the coils on ebay for 19.95. Junk or what????

 

what are the best plugs to use in the s-types by the way.

Do you know what the error code was? You can get them checked for free at Autozone or Checkers.

 

Why buy a nice car if you are not wanting to upkeep it? used coils? Why not get used battery. used alternator etc. What makes you think you won't have to replace parts on a Lexus or Benz. I have a benz, costs a little cheaper than Jag because there are more of them sold. Have you seen the maintenance schedule for a lexus they want to see you every 5,000 miles and its not cheap service. Good luck to you
