Good Morning,

I was hoping for some help on where to get the fasteners for this trim that lies under the hood of my 2003 S Type. Whilst cleaning under the bonnet, i noticed that there were only two fasteners and one was loose and damaged. There should be a total of four. Of course, I dropped them down somewhere in the engine and could not find them or else I would have taken a photo. They are different than my 2006 S Type which have a center push type fastener. The 2003 has a plastic head which turns and has a raised "X" pattern.

I have attached the image of the trim if that helps. I tried to look it up on Rimmer Bros., SNG Barrat but didn't see a match, although most of the fasteners did not have an image.

Years ago I bought a bunch of them because they seem to be missing, ALWAYS!
Even cars that were still in new cars warranty came into the dealership with them MISSING.(why?)

XR87509 was the part number when I bought them.

Those push retainers are also used by several Ford vehicles.

That is also helpful for the future. I always forget that there are interchangeable parts with Ford. I picked them up from Rimmer Bros. for around $3 U.S. along with some other stuff that I needed.
