Default Fault Codes

Our new scanner for our 2001 S-Type just arrived! We have the following codes C1234 we know that this is the speed sensor, but we also have C1288 and C1289. Does anyone have information on these two codes?

These are generic ford codes

C1288 = ABS Pump Module fault. Fault code: “C1288 PRESSURE TRANSDUCER MAIN/PRIMARY ...

C1289 =
Ford OBD Error Code Details for C1289
Pressure transducer redundant / secondary input circuit failure

Did the codes return after being cleared ?

We replaced the wheel sensor, cleared the codes and the codes have not returned! Thank you. Our new issue is the that since we did the work on the wheel sensor the DSC fault light continually blinks. Any suggestions?

Found a few posts on this one ! Afraid it looks like a dealer fix only
to re calabrate dsc ! It seems somthing has gone rong with the reset,
And spicked the module
This guy had some luck,

Permanent flashing of DSC light - SOLVED
Hello,

I was at the Jaguar Dealer, there were no faults in the vehicle, so they re-program (re-load) the ABS unit configuration and now the DSC light operates normally and everything is OK.

The cost for the work was cca. GBP 17 (exactly CZK 510) .

Now the Autoenginuity Scan Tool is able to connect to the vehicle and pull any DTC, however I am afraid to clear the DTC - it could affect the ABS & DSC unit again . I was told by a Jaguar technician that the flashing "fault" of DSC light could be directly or indirectly caused Autoenginuity Scan Tool in the DTC clear process, or it was caused only by electrical gremlin - they do not know. However they told me, they can not assure me that the ABS unit could be reloaded again in case of any failure or fault (I do not know why - they said to me that it is a very sensitive unit and a reload is more or less very strained process) .

This one is a jag teak on fix ya !

Usually when the tire light is flashing the ABS/DSC module will need to be recalibrated. This can only be done with the Jag WDS/IDS that only dealers have. What you can try to do is disconnect the negative battery terminal for 10 minutes. If the light does come back it will need to be programmed. My dealer charges a half hour labor to do so.

Yes actually , did notice the note's,
but not mutch of an idea from that of how to fix it ,
Further search info for anyone not up to speed with the repair
Protocol would be required , at a guess hence why the O/P
Is still asking and not fixing

It tells you exactly what the codes mean for the specific Jaguar model, which is what the OP asked for and tells you what the flashing MIL means which is the second question asked.

I'm as mystified as you are, Norri, but I for one appreciated the time you took to scan and post those pages.

Norri, I reread the pages you posted and the car is responding just as stated. We just can not figure out how to recalibrate using our unit. Thanks so much!

What unit do you have, you will need one of the mongoose or similar units with the dealer level software to do the reset.

See if it can do it, if not then use an OE one.

They are from JTIS which is a free download from the forum.
Although it can be a pain to install.
