Smile flashing lights and arming alarm

hi, everybody, this is my first time on this real great forum.
I have a problem with my s-type 2005. Main lights, fog lights and brake lights are flashing every 30 minutes precisely and the alarm system is arming itself, all this when car is completely off. So it keeps flashing all nights. if the doors are not locked, the alarm system will starts when opening a door. Of course, battery doesn't like it and is dead after 24 hours if you don't touch the car. Of course, parkbrake fault appears.

I know fuse 20, compartment B, in the car, may be involved because removing it stop the flashing... and arming.... until you put it back.

if someone can help me...yessssss...

I reckon you have answered your own question, you have a battery problem.

Disconnect from the car & put it on charge for at least 12hrs then see what happens.

I reckon you're probably going to need a new battery, but as a check, look carefully at the ignition switch hole to see if the "gate" closes when you remove the key.

Another vote for the battery.

You might check but I bet you still have the factory unit as I did in my 2005. I just changed it last year because I found the Bosch battery for $20 off normal price at Pep-Boys.

If you do replace the battery the correct part numbers have been posted several times and always make sure to get a vented battery and route the hose out of the trunk.

Unhappy yes

thank's to answer me.
the battery is now charging, i'll leave it for 48 hours then we'll see because i already changed this one 36 months ago.

i went to jag dealer today he told me that the brake aid module and driver's door module don't answer his machine. But he didn't say that was it.

he said that he will need time and maybe a lot of time to find it. he said that once, with a problem like that , it took 32 hous to get it fixed. (128$/hour)

My gooooooood,,,,,!!!!!

Try 12hrs charging. Leave for a few more, off charge, and check voltage (car still off). Should be 12.6V or so. If OK, see whether problem recurs and if it does then check volts again.

Another vote for battery. When my battery died I had all kinds of seemingly electric issues. I panicked because, as a former Alfa Romeo owner, I had assumed I got another brand of cars that couldn't get the wiring done straight. I had flashing lights and the whole nine yards. After battery replacement, everything went back to normal.

voltage was 12.6 all night until i sarted the car and it was something like 13 or 14.6 when running and 12 when i stopped it 20 seconds later. Sorry i didn't pay good attention when it was running. to it looked ok and i just kept going.

As i told, this battery have been changed 18 month ago. i saw that ventilated battery must be used with the vent tube going out the car. Is that a good info because i saw i had no vent on mine.

Now see if fault comes back. If it does, read volts with engine OFF. When on you're measuring the alternator. Battery could be dead and you'd still just see the alternator, so it's no way to test battery.
