Put key in lock and turn.

Look carefully - there is a lock!

Hint: the key slot is under the letter U on the boot lid.

And with my amazing psychic abilities, I predict this reply:

"Thanks, I found it, but the key won't turn! What should I do?"

Two scenarios if the key won't turn. The lock is seized from disuse, or you have a valet key, which by design won't unlock the trunk.

Short of cutting a hole through the trunk lid, what can a poor guy do? Peruse this thread for a couple of ideas to recharge the battery without having to open the trunk:

I love this forum!!!!

I would have posted the same response but I have been accused of 'unnecessary-sarcasm' from time-to-time. I shrug it off.

I know 'FLAT BATTERY' is more of a British term and when I worked for a Brit in the 80s/90s I had a good laugh when I removed a battery from a Series III sedan and cut a page from a magazine with a full-sized battery picture and laid in the battery tray.

I then laid the cables on the posts in the pic and called the shop owner to look at the 'FLAT BATTERY'.

I think he was amused but just walked away annoyed!!!!!
