Has anyone ever bothered to look behind their glove boxes? That area seems to always collect junk. Come to think of it, I haven't checked in there since I bought my Jag. Better add that to my post winter storage checks

Come to think of it then, they shouldn't have been in the emergency kit. They should have been in a electric popup dispenser installed as factory stock in the console.
My best find was when I was vacuuming out the interior of my wife's 1982 Fiat Spyder convertible one beautiful mid-spring Saturday morning in 1984. The top had been down for several hours before I came out to clean up the car and when I moved the passenger seat forward to vacuum behind it, there was a 5-foot-long rat snake coiled up behind the seat staring me in the eye. He showed no fear of me whatsoever, so I just reached down and grabbed him behind the head and carried him deep into the woods for release. Rat snakes are smart, relatively docile most of the time, and make great pets if you like reptiles....
Never told my wife about this little encounter because I knew if I did, she would never set foot in that car again and I would have to sell it for a loss well ahead of the depreciation schedule I had it on....

Sorry Jon...I woulda had to "classify" it......only recognize two species of snake - "Daid" and "Ain't seen 'um yet" and soon's one jumps species on me....gotta reclassify....
