Default Front bumper access cover

Greetings my friends!

I may need a little help, I have seemed to lost my front bumper access cover in last nights flooding rains. Is there any site that sells them with a circular air vent in them, I have already order a standard one that will cost me $80 dollars that includes labor plus materials to paint but I thought the extra flare may look good.

This link has parts for EfficientLifeChurch.

I have had no dealings with this site, and only show it, as it has a good breakdown for your bumper parts.

Access cover, 2008, foglamp for 2008 Jaguar S-Type XR844108XXX Securely order online now - it's fast and easy.

I am not sure about the circular air vent part that desertchimera needs without the year model.

Thanks so much for that link. What doesn't seem right is they're mentioning a foglamp in the description. It seems that the Outer Grill (part#13) is the part that's wired for a foglamp. In other words even though it's a black plastic grill, the back is wired to the car as if a foglamp could be substituted for it. Mine was stock however.

EfficientLifeChurch on my earlier model car the fog lights fit into the access cover (part 16 in the exploded parts diagram).

Early S type showing fog lights
2008 S type fog lights
If you don't have fog lights then there may be wiring already in place and you may only need the lights.

Others with your model may comment.

My front end looks completely different. Are you sure it's a 2008 you posted? Anyway I went to Jaguar and they gave me the part number (XR844109XXX) and the paint code (MDV). The quoted me $69 for the part and $79 to paint it. I can get the part for under $50 and the paint for under $40 but to do it right the part should be primed painted and clear coated, so I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble doing it myself. BTW the black part I found attached to wires inside the bumper so luckily I only need the access cover.

You have to remember, 2008 was the last MY for our beloved S Types. Jaguar cleared its stock and we saw some interesting vehicles with options that were not offered to some other MYs.

The OPs bumper shown above is actually an STR bumper skin on a NA S Type.

You mention it has an STR bumper. I hope Jaguar has the correct part number.

I did notice that although the salesman and the sticker said it was stock it had options that weren't on the 2007's on the lot. It had as standard larger upgraded rims, chrome side mirrors, sport seats and a sport setting button. I guess they had some STR parts left over and didn't want to waste them. I also read somewhere this MY was built on a Lincoln Continental frame with upgraded suspension being that Ford who owned Jaguar at the time discontinued the Continental too. All I know is it drives like a Rolls. I love this car.

We took out a 7 year 125k mile extended warranty that paid for itself several times over and I still have 50k miles to go. I'll probably keep it till I run it to the ground. I wanted the Maserati Quattroporte since I already had an XKR but my wife fell in love with the Seafrost Green color on this one. In retrospect a great decision on her part and saved us 70k!

Thanks for the replies,

Stephen

Hello group,
I have the same jaguar s-type with the same color (light Teal) and with the same missing driver side cover.

Would love to find one of the same color, so any info is very appreciated
