Default On going rear BCM issue on a 2003 Jaguar s-type 4.2 liter

originally my car was not getting any fuel I couldn't figure it out as I went through everything replacing the fuel pump fuel pressure regulator sensor fuel filter, fuse, and relay. I finally decided to take it to a Jaguar mechanic. They said the rear BCM needed to be replaced. So I replaced it. The car was finally running but it was immediately in limp mode. I figured this was a result of the bank2 up stream O2 sensor being bad. Seeing as I didn't have any money to fix the sensor I had to drive the car for a while. Just yesterday it did the same thing as when the bcm went bad. The fuel gauge read empty when I knew I had over a Quarter tank and the display did not say "fuel low". I'm sure the bcm went bad but what could cause it to go bad again?
