A guy in the neighborhood is selling a set of STR staggered Zeus chrome wheels for $500.00 Is this a good deal? The tires are in just ok condition, but the wheels look good.

 

A very good deal.

 

Check them for any obvious bent spots or a lot of wheel weights indicating that balancing may have been difficult. But otherwise, even if in "fair" to "good" condition that price is very good.

Heck if you don't take them I bet someone on here would jump on it.

 

As the others have said, look for any defects - if there are none, that is a very good deal. I bought a set of non-chrome Zeus wheels off of a forum member 2 years ago for $1000. They were freshly painted, so it pained me to use them for my snow tires.

As several threads on here will confirm, it is very hard to find a complete set of the Zeus (03-04) or Vulcan (05-07) wheels. So buy them while still available.

Let me know if you pick them up and end up wanting rid of them. I've been looking for a couple straight front Zeus wheels for a while and would buy a whole set if they were straight.

I hear you Chris. My front's have been gobbled alive by NYC potholes. I have new BlackArt rims and tires on order but they've yet to arrive.
