Haynes Manual for S-Type Jag??
Hello, is there a Haynes or other good PAPER manual available for the Diesel V6 2.7 litre S-type Jag Sport?
Got a CD but it caters for so many different Jags and has about 3000 pages so it is hellish to go through.
Advice welcomed warmly

I think the best one is the one Jaguar (JTIS) put out.
We are lucky because it's a free download on this forum.
Look for JTIS in the title.
Details on Win7 64 bit new install method & new JTIS21 S-Type archive
OOPS! Sorry this is not a paper manual.

Hi Melandra,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
I am not aware of a Haynes manual for the S-Type, and a quick check of their website indicates they no longer publish any Jaguar manuals (though I do have one for our XJ40):
Automotive Repair Manual Online from Haynes
In addition to the JTIS (Jaguar Technician Information System) mentioned by clubairth1, there is a wealth of information available at this forum in the S-Type 'HOW TO' thread:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...-guides-41364/
And there is also a lot of info here:
JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource
And it is well worth downloading and installing the Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC):

I agree that working with manuals in pdf format can be tedious, so as JagV8 suggests, I print out just the sections I need when I'm performing maintenance or repairs.
All that said, it is worth watching eBay because dealer service manuals show up for sale, and you just might snag a set for the S-Type at a fair price. I've managed to collect quite a few dealer-only references that way.

Cheers,
Don

Although it is not paper, the AlldataDIY information available as an inexpensive online subscription is much easier to use than JTIS and covers most things that a home mechanic is likely to want to tackle. Each section can be printed out individually to use at the car like a Haynes manual. Hope this helps.
I agree, there's nothing like a paper Haynes manual to work with on a car.
But, alas, there is no such thing on a Jag. Jag owners apparently have money to spend ***** nilly, so they appease the mechanics who can't have 8 million manuals lying around. I spent my money on a downloaded one, and glad I put it on 2 computers, because my laptop just crapped out on me this week.
I wish you the best of luck on dealing with running from the computer to the car 8 million times, or dealing with the 5 sheets of paper you printed out, blowing around in the slightest of a gust, all to work on 1 issue.
I did it, I know you can do it man.
