Default Heated seats/global/hazards/Traction buttons hard to push?

Tried searching but couldn't find anything...The buttons light up when the headlights go on and are all operable...But when I go to hit the heated seat button I'd say 10% of the time does the red LED indicator light up...It also is really hard to push in...Same for all buttons...Any ideas?

I tell you I thought I was going crazy, but I have the same issue with the rear defroster button, and sometimes the front defroster. Must be a **** poor design... also some times in the morning I can't ever get my rear defroster on less I turn on the front defroster first, then off.

I've found that the plastic tactile buttons and switches in some vehicles hold up better to wear-and-tear and age than in other vehicles. Given the known problems that these S-Types have with some of their plastics (the coolant expansion tank may be the best example), it does not surprise me that you're having button problems....

You may want to try lubricating your buttons very sparingly with a product that will not interfere with or damage their underlying electronics. Do some Google research for such a product before you go spraying WD-40 or All-In-One oil down into your console. Someone here may already know of such a product and can provide a recommendation....

I've got some good dielectric silicone spray I could try, didn't think it'd be that but hey, it's a cheap try... I figured it's some cheap contact points that the rubber pad may have shifted or worn...
