Don't worry, JagV8, Brutal, or some other of our troubleshooting Jaguar gurus will be here to help you. In the meantime check for blown fuses caused by moisture intrusion.

Um, I'm guessing by your user ID that you have a STR, but what year??

Maybe update your signature to reflect that. It will help those of us that "look things up" for people..

OK, first of all where are you getting your code read from? It is WRONG.
I know people keep stressing that you need to read the FAQ's....This is a perfect example.

From the Jaguar DTC pdf that is found in the FAQ section.....

P1108 is a MAP sensor high volt code....

Please download this PDF and keep it handy...And go through and read up on all the other very usefull things in the FAQ section...

P1108 does NOT mean that.

All P1 codes are maker specific. The maker can use them to be specific to model, engine, year or anything else. (Which is either flexible or confusing or both!) The code PDF was posted here not very long ago, I think by oldengineer (try his posts). File P2003MY_X202.pdf

Always look up a P1 code for your specific car details (any make - same rule).

There's also some troubleshooting info if you Search on here.

P1108 for your car is "MAP sensor sense circuit high voltage" and the PDF I mentioned has lots more data

STR:
Please post back to the list when you get this fixed. Not a common code and I don't know if it's a simple replacement of the MAP sensor or if it's pointing to a more involved problem??

Hi JOsworth I'm using a OBD 2 scan tool
I've tried clearing the code and it stays off while I'm driving but when I turn the car off and leave it for 10 second and restart the car it come back.. I checked the fuses and they are
all good.. I will try taking a look at the map sensor and the coonections..
Thank you for your help and everyones else too .. I really appriciate it....

One of the great things about OBD II is that you don't need to reset codes like you used to. Once a fault is fixed, it will clear itself. Since yours keeps coming back would point to a true failure.

I would pick up a MAP sensor. My dealer lists them for $156. You may be able to find a less expensive source. I would then check the wiring connectors and the MAP sensor itself and see if it can't be "cleaned" or "serviced"... If not, then just install the one you picked up.

This is simply the "process" I use any time I have a sensor failure. I try to service it first but only after I have a replacement. Oh, and make sure that whomever you purchase the sensor from will allow you to return it if it ends up you don't need it.

Default Map Sensor

I want to thank everyone that help me with my check engine like..
It was the MAP sensor and now I have no more check engine like.
The Map Sensor was a like time comsuming but not hard.
It was located behind the lower throttle body and you have to remove both of them to get to it, well I had to remove several things to get to the map sensor but its working now.... THANKS!!!...
