Help for Fuel Indicator
Hello everybody! I was surfing the web to seek help and discovered this Forum. Congratulations to all of you and here I am with my request.
I own a 2004 S-type Gasoline 2,5 V6 Exe model. I live in Italy and car has 72000 Kms total life. After having halted the car for one year (for too many reason I avoid to describe as boring), last week I could restart her, so I took her to a Mechanic and he had to exchange, besides the oil and filters, the battery, the gasoline contained into the tank, the fuel pump and fuel filter, and the two fuel senders as they rusted due to the presence of water into the tank.
But even tough the car is perfectly running and tuned up, the fuel indicator is still jammed on the zero position, and with a 50%tank filled up, it does Not show any indication, nor the LOW level Fuel Warning light comes on and consequently no indication of data from the Computer in terms of Endurance or Instantaneous consumption. We tried to reset by removing battery cable, by checking fuse or wires, but no success.
Before bringing again the car to a far away distance official Jaguar dealer and discover something stupid...is anyone of you guys keen to give me any idea on what to check or to reset?
Thank you!

Thank you Police666, I will test and check those connections! Good idea. I will make a list of all hints to my Mechanic and then post results! ;-)

I'm still not sure what causes the error or why filling the tank 'cures' it but it's food for thought.
