Take the belly pan off and look for two small bolts on the side of the shifter. They get loose and fall out then the car no go...

Plenty of post on this site about the problem. Very common.

He said the trunk opened in a rainstorm, so he probably has water in the trunk well. Water ingress can affect a number of the electronic modules located in that area....

How much water was in the boot because you will have to get it dried out completely. The easiest way is too get rid as much of the water as possible would be to put a bag of rice in the boot and let it the water out.

You will need it completely dried out and may then have some permanently damaged items which you'll need to replace, sadly.

Pray it's not the fusebox!

Have you read the codes. They might push you in the right direction and show what to check in the JTIS.

If you go here you can download a copy of the JTIS because without knowing the date of manufacture of your car. It is difficult to answer your questions.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/general-tech-help-7/jtis21-win7-64-install-method-new-archives-65926/

just follow Jim's instructions and then you will be able to find out for yourself.

It looks more about JTIS than IDS / WDS or the like, but I've clarified.

Mutual misunderstanding,
If you go to this thread you can get a copy of SDD program v1.30. This version is clean of viruses, it has been found that the version that comes with the mongoose from China has one.

mongoose v130.

Note: you also need to buy a Mongoose or suitable (J2534) device!

So I replaced the suspension module in trunk with a used one and the suspension lite has gone out... Now I need the interlock relay were is it? so your saying my scan tool is not pulling jaguar codes ? the files listed will not install in my laptop period. I replaced the rear backup sensor module and no go no change all tho original module had signs of water in it.

Im ready to shoot this car !
