Default Helppppppp!!

I was driving this morning and my check engine light popped on. It says solid while I am at a light, but once I start moving, the light flashes. Also it will run really ruff once I get to a steady speed and it idles ruff as well. Any ideas??? Of course on a weekend too!

I removed the coils and found water in them. I blew them out and now have the car outside idleing for a hour but it still is running rough. I could only get the coils and plugs on the driver's side.

Hopefully you will read the forum in some detail. All of what you are going thru has been done before. You did learn one good lesson already.

DO NOT wash the engine bay!!!

If you want to clean it use a rag and a spray bottle. Yes it's more work but you got off lucky this time. If you foul a throttle body the cost will be much higher.

You can drive her the 15 miles home...here you'll dry all the coils, throttle body and MAF connectors too. Keep us posted.

Ideally you'd make sure everything is waterproof but otherwise wash with more care

Flashing MIL = catalyst-damaging misfire. Bad news but not terminal if you get it fixed before it's too late. They'll take SOME abuse.

Code reader said misfire 4 and 6. I picked up three new coils and all new plugs. They have to order three more coils. Guess I will do the side that is misfiring now and the rest later.
