Default Hey Everyone NEWb here couple Q on 00 stype

Hey everyone Im going to take a look at my uncles stype. His drivers taillight isnt working and his mechanic replaced the "Board" and it didnt do the job. I searched and didnt find any rear problems listed of the same. Is there a bcm or any type of computer that controlls the lights? His keyless isnt working either but maybe thats just programming.
Thanks for any help
Chris

What "Board"?
Did he check the bulb?
Do all the other lights work fine?

According to the electrics diagram I have, its powered through fuse #3 10A in the rear power distribution box (next to spare tire), and controlled by the Rear Electronic Control Module (Trunk right-hand Rear).

Before buying any car, it`s always a good idea to get it thoroughly examined by a professional.....

There may be issues that your uncle isn`t aware of....

My guess is it's a fuse... Probably grounded it out while replacing a bulb and blew a fuse. The fuse block is in the trunk.

Comment based on experience.. Thank goodness I did it in the auto parts store parking lot. Just went back in and bought the fuses and all was better. LOL

It's in the workshop manual ($6-10 ebay) and on the net if you look - free.
