hi new here i have a s type r and my driver side front indicator has stopped working put new bulb in checked fuses all look ok but no joy i have tested the bulb holder on the other side and worked fine changed the fuse still no joy.

whats next to look at ?

 

Funny you should mention this! The very first repair I did to my 2005 STR was the front blinker.

Turns out the socket itself had burns across the metal clips that hold the bulb and provide electrical connections. So pull the bulb and carefully inspect the socket. I ended up folding a piece of foil to bridge across the burned spot in the socket. Not real proud of the repair but at that time I found the Jaguar socket to be over $50 and would need to be ordered. 6 years and almost 90K miles the repair is still fine.

Just something easy to check.

i did try the socket with bulb in on the other side was working fine then so a bit lost less i have a wiring problem

 

I am not clear? Did you swap the socket from side to side? or just the bulb.

The socket takes more work to change.

the bulb holder 2 wires that go in the back just un clip

 

still no joy with this i have checked the big plug at the back of light and there is no power to side light or indicator where can i check next fuzes are all ok ?

 

Are you any further on with getting to the bottom of this problem?

 

Nar still stuck think it may be a wire broken or some think all other lights work on that side just the side light and indicator not working
