Default issues after intake removal

I recently had to remove the intake to replace the infamous coolant line. Now I am getting P0171, P0174 and P0358 codes i have checked for the vacuum leaks as suggested from some of the other post listed here in the forum but have not been able to find a leak. Was wondering if could be wiring related due to having to remove connectors and or from moving the wiring around to remove the intake. I was very cautious in the removal and reassembly but the car is 11 years old and 126 thous miles of heating and cooling on the wiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Jaguar frustrated,

I've moved your question from MKI / MKII S type 240 340 & Daimler to S-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Graham

P0358 relates to cyl 8 coil circuit and might in turn provoke a bank 2 lean code (P0174) but can't cause the other as far as I can see.

(You get lean because a misfire leaves unburned O2 which the O2 sensors can see - they can't see the fuel.)

You might check the wiring and coil seating etc, then hope.

Check there's no dirt/oil/water in #8 plug well, too.

It could be a faulty coil. Swap with another to see if fault moves.

Default New Queastion

Has anyone replace the Emergency brake cables and if so is there a way to release the electric brake motor with out having to have the 600.00$ special release tool. or can this be done with out having to release the motor.

You can use Search to read what others did.

You can also get the workshop manual easily.
