Hi I am trying to replace the thermostat housing but I unable to open this bolt what tool may I need to open this bolt and what bolt is this? I need to buy another one of these bolts but can not find it online. Thank you you taking the time to read my post

 

Torx T?? 25,27,30? Best get a set they are handy.

or a handle set, which gives you the reach and the shorter handle Torque for the tighter screws.

 

@patek111, how many kilometres/miles are on the vehicle?

The two hoses to the EGR valve are also known failure points and should also be replaced. It's best to remove the inlet manifold to provide easy access to the four Torx bolts on the lower part of the thermostat housing, and this is a good time to replace the return hoses to the EGR whilst the manifold is out of the way.

 

The car has 73,000 miles how can I replace the valves that you are talking about sorry I am just getting into repairing cars.
