Default JUMPER QUESTION

Hi guys,
My question is, I see our S type has whats call pos.+ for the ground and OurNeg - is the HOT.
When jumping our car from another Vehicle how do we use the jumper cables. Pos. to Neg. or Pos. to Pos. like a normal car.
Regards

Positive goes to positive in both vehicles. Negative goes to an earth ground in our Jag but normal negative in other cars. DO NOT PUT NEGATIVE PLUG ON NEGATIVE TERMINAL. A FIRE COULD OCCUR!!!!

momo
Since our cars come with a + ground,no one makes any 1157 orany bulb with a+ ground.Iam talking to a guy an his company is going to make1157 + ground for me with the off set. I have tryedto get thetail and brake light to work but the + ground is the problem. If you check the plug at thetailight all the wires are hot so theres no ground only when step on the brake and when you turn on the parks. I can't put a resistor onto hot to hot wire can I. momo I don't have any pictures wish I did.
Regards

uh I think youre alittle confused, we do not have a positive grounded cars! theyre like every other car out there neg grounded. The reason theyre hot until you step on the brake cause not only Jaguar but many manufacturers trigger circuits with grounds, especially since control modules are much happier controlling grounds instead of power circuits

ok...your original post concerns me Pos is + and is not GROUND Neg - is NOT HOT, that is your ground.

If you do not know how to jump start a vehicle i suggest you do not make the attempt. You'll cause more damage to the vehicle and possibly injuring yourself and or whoever is with you.

Thanks racer
I know how to jump start a car. The problem was I was trying toinstalling Leds in the tailights and when you check the plug to the tailights all the wires are hot, which would mean a Pos.+ as a ground system, didn't know that when you apply brake or switch park light on switches cause the ground.
Regards
