Knock Sensor
Hello,
I am facing the same problem on my S-Type 3.0 2002. Amber light every cold or medium cold start. Used the ELM327 and a labtop with scantool application to read the code P0333.
After cleaning the erro memory the P1111 code stands for not preformed rediness test, this error will disappear after a sertain driving cycle.
Does somebody know where to find the connector or the sensor to this V6 engine. I can purchase a sensor on ebay, but the JTIS workshop manual is not very clear on the V6 is olny showing V8 pictures.
Thanks in advance for your kind answers.
Greetings William

I think one is next to the starter, I will check.
This is on a 2000 3.0 S-Type
Yes one is under the intake and fuel supply manifold and the other it suggested that you remove the starter to get to it.

Gus,
Thanks for moving the post and the answer. I will check the location of the sensor above the starter. Hopefully it is still the same my engine is modified series 2. Sensor 2 looks like easy to reach.
Somebody on the Dutch forum told me that there is only one sensor present (sensor 1 in the middle of two banks) that can calculated the knocking for two banks.
Keep you updated as soon as I have the opportunity to look from underneath the car.
Ciao William
