Last round-up. What to check B4 the warranty expires.
Yes, I found the one I used for my benz, it was this stuff;
Cliplight Manufacturing 946KIT Super Seal Pro A/C Leak Repair Kit

It worked great in my Benz, lets see if it will work wonders in my STR

Bob, you mentioned in another thread about your fuel guage readings were not quite right (IIRC). A little over a year ago, the jet pump was replaced in mine, the guage was going back and forth between 3/4 and 3/8 full regardless on how much gas was actually in the tank.
Suggest you keep track of yours to see if it's acting funny. The replacement including labor wouild have been $800-1000 without warranty.

Bob,
Check the rear differential for whine at 60 mph or so. There was a TSB covering this. I had mine replaced under warranty. I now have the re-designed differential.
In addition to DCCV, check the AC control module. Frequently a DCCV failure will fry the AC control module.
Since you live in a northern climate, check areas around doors, etc for rust. Jeff ran into this a while back and got it repaired.

Interesting and very different from what I'm seeing. See this thread:

OK, so I went in 2 weeks ago for the following issues:
Gas gauge erroneous but not erratic readings.
They replaced both tank senders and on the drive home I could tell it had made a significant difference. I'm still on that tank of gas so I'll report more later.
Coolant leak somewhere that you can smell.
I identified a seepage around the seam of the reservoir tank and they replaced that and also put a non oem screw style clamp of the wrong sort on the intercooler connection at the tank. I switched the clamp to a Norma band style with rolled edges as theirs was so tight it was going to start cutting the rubber.
Well the jury is still out on this one. I can still smell coolant two weeks later bnut that may justy be residual spilled coolant boiling off. I recently check the level which was down again so I topped it up and went for an 80 mile drive. The level seems to have stablized so maybe this one is OK.
Steering wheel squeak. So they did the additive which I was charged for? No big deal just kind of odd. It was immediately quieter which it still is but after 250 miles and 2 weeks it's about the same as when I picked it up at the dealer. How long does this take to become fully effective?
I got the latest software updates for the various ECUs and it did indeed perform differently . I guess it essentially got a reset and was immediately more aggressive feeling. Where I live I end up having to drive in a non sporting manner almost 100% of the time so I guess the car "learns" to be sluggish?
Another thing about the steering.
Last fall I took the car in for an alignment and on my trip to Canada I noticed that car was very darty and exhibited quite a bit of bump steer. So I had intended to take it back for a change in the alignment but then winter hit. Well I never got back there so what was weird was that after they put the steering pump conditioner in the dartiness seemed to almost disappear. Has anyone else noticed an effect like this? BTW, my steering wheel squeak started on my trip to Canada as well.

Onto coolant. Maybe I'm paranoid about my S-Type but I've sort of sworn to smell coolant at odd times. I will tell you this. Both times I've opened the coolant system, once for the Expansion / recovery tank, and once for the DCCV, despite my best bleeding / fill efforts, the car did give the low coolant warning again a couple weeks later, and I had to add a couple cups of coolant to get it past the sensor (which is incidentally rather high in the expansion tank). I think these cars hide coolant in crevices I swear!
I have the infamous steering squeak too, I need to add that additive.
Now as far as alignment. There was a lot of controversy about Jaguar modifying the alignment settings to remove some of the front toe in that was specificed because of cars wearing the inner edges of the front tires prematurely. Look for a thread by Bull27 regarding him hitting a pothole and bending an inner tie rod end. There was a significant amount of discussion concerning alignment, with specs and real world alignment sheets posted.
Take care,
George
They didn't give me any expense info. But when talking to the service manager about this he said that replacing the senders on my car wasn't all that hard.
Except that I wasn't thinking and delivered the car to them with nearly a full tank of gas!
I remember the thread on alignment and I took it with me to my shop. Maybe I'm hallucinating but it really feels like the additive substantially reduced the problem.

Thanks for the update.
Good news on the senders.
When I added the PAS fluid it cured it within about a week. I didn't even bother with the turning side-to-side to heat it.
I don't think the box learns to be sluggish. Can't swear to that, though. Keep an eye on it and please post if it does.
I think the alignment spec was plain wrong initially but yes there's an excellent thread (long, though) with the specs and examples of real sheets. If your front tires aren't wearing on the inner edges you should be OK (well, check the others too - but I know you will have).

Which might depend on the type of relationship you've established with them :-)
