Does anyone know what the last year for the Black plastic BLADE grille for the s-type, better yet, do you know if that's an interchangeable part with a 2008? I know it's not 2005...I have that one and it's got skinny CHROME blades. I'm looking for the BLACK PLASTIC BLADES and to know it it's an interchangeable part. Wasn't there just Two shapes of grilles - BEFORE and AFTER face lift?
This is the combination I'd like to find here or on e-bay. An 08 ST with the BLACK PLASTIC BLADE GRILLE. Does anyone know if they made it AFTER they went to the new POST-FACELIFT grille mount? If So please tell me what year.
The black plastic grill was more often found on the Sport model than the SE. Judging by how many people swapped them out for an STR grill, there should be a few for sale secondhand. I imagine eBay is your friend.
Not sure... my 03 w/4.2L has a dark color. It's not black though. It looks black from 10ft.. but its actually a dark grey.
He needs the grill from a 2004 sport model (2005MY) onwards. Some were colour-coded to the car I believe, but the majority were black. My Ultraviolet 2004 s-type sport had a black plastic grill. The SE's tended to have the chrome ones, along with the chrome panel on the boot with chrome flashes on the front bumper (fender). The 02-03 grills were slightly different from the 99-02 cars, then changed again from 04. Earlier ones won't fit the 04 onwards cars (redesigned bonnet). But he hasn't responded to his thread so . . .

My S-type #1 was an 01 3.0 sport and that's where I became enamoured with the black blade grill. S-type #2 had it as well a 00 4.0. I knew from memory that those grilles were a different shape and had different mounts. I've gathered from the information here that I need to look for an 04+ sport to find a black plastic blade grille to fit S-type #3 - an 08 3.0 base. Thanks for the info Robinus. That's what I was looking to find out. Is the extra grill you have available the 04 + Sport? It wasn't clear from the last post. If it'll fit an 08, I'd be happy to make a fair offer for it. I' m not in a hurry, just want to be sure it'll fit. Thanks for all the answers and PLMK if you're itnerested in selling it.

The '04 facelift grill was the last change & carries through till production end. You can tell which grill is which because of the badges. Take a look on eBay & compare some photos to establish if it will fit. If it's the same as yours you're good. When I say I'm a long way I really mean it, I'm the other side of London, UK to you. I don't want to sell any spares I've accumulated till I sell my STR.
